Haut-Chassezac Gorges
The Canyon of Haut-Chassezac in a staple. The Chassezac Canyon offers an aquatic and playful trip very diversified : abseiling, jumps (none mandatory), slides, drains, caving passages, swim in a wonderful wild granite frame. A lot of plant species flourish in the Chassezac Canyon, you will probably have the chance to meet dragonflies, reptiles or other amphibians... The best way to enjoy this descent is to browse the integral Canyon, it’s not very engaged and includes a lot of escapes. No need to be expert, the difficulties are not extremes and the technics will be acquired quickly, however the trip is long and needs a good sport condition.
Certainly the most beautiful canyon of Cévennes, at the door of the National parc of Cévennes at the beginning of the medieval village of Guarde-Guerin. All in a sunny valley and between wonderful cathedrals in granite.
