Hike, Abseiling of Anduze (St Julian Rock)
Resonate overhead the gap of the Cévennes's Door. The rock of St Julian is based at 20 min by walk of the Anduze village, it will offer you a panoramic view between Cévennes and Garrigues, with a seizing view point on the Gardon Anduze valley. The landscape is typical scrublands of the Southern Cévennes. Calcareous rock, a rich rupestral flora, strawberry trees, holm oaks and junipers. A remarkable legacy site ! From the prehistory to the Antiquity, a lot of marks confirm the human presence in this strategic place. That's why we would like to submite you a wild and aerial tour. We will access to its summit by a very former and steep road, drilled in the cliff where we follow antics steps carved in the rock. The descent of the summit will be done in 4 dizzying abseiling, with a path under an artifical arch of the Middle Age. The final abseiling will be done in spider wire until the feet of the North face of St Julian Rock (from 10 to 50 meters).
